1. Eligibility

Open to Malaysians and international participants.

Participants must be 16 years old and above. (Participants under 18 must provide a consent letter signed by a guardian.)
-
All participants must complete the official registration process and sign the Indemnity & Consent Form.
-
Team members must register under the same category and provide accurate personal information.
2. Team Composition
-
Teams must consist of a maximum of 4 for rafting category and 2 for kayak category unless specified otherwise by the organizer.
-
Substitution of team members is not allowed after the closing of registration without approval by the organizer.
-
All teams must appoint a Team Leader as the main point of contact.
3. Raft Design & Equipment
-
Rafts must comply with the specifications set by the organizer.

Bamboo rafts must be handmade using approved natural materials.
-
Life jackets (PFDs) are compulsory for every participant throughout the race.
-
Helmets are highly recommended, especially in rapid zones.
-
Kayak paddles or bamboo poles are permitted as propulsion tools based on event-specific category.
4. Race Conduct
-
Teams must stay on the designated river route and pass through all checkpoints.
-
Any shortcutting, sabotage, or obstruction of other teams is strictly prohibited.
-
Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal abuse, or disrespect towards officials, other participants, or locals may result in disqualification.
-
Teams must comply with instructions from race marshals, rescue teams, and safety officers at all times.
5. Timing & Categories

Each category will be flagged off according to a set schedule. Late arrivals may be disqualified due to safety reasons.
-
The official timing will begin at the flag-off and end once the entire team crosses the finish line.
-
Prizes are awarded based on finish position and compliance with all rules.
6. Safety & Emergency
-
Certified medical and rescue teams will be stationed along the route.
-
In case of emergency, participants must signal marshals or use a whistle to call for help.
-
Organizers reserve the right to suspend or cancel the race due to dangerous weather or river conditions.
-
Participants must immediately withdraw from the race if instructed by safety personnel.
7. Environmental Responsibility
-
Strictly no littering along the river or at any venue areas.
-
Do not damage riverbanks, trees, or any natural surroundings.
-
Any form of pollution or irresponsible environmental behavior will result in disqualification.
8. Media & Publicity
-
By participating, you grant the organizer rights to use photographs, video, and race results for promotional purposes.
-
Drones are not allowed without prior approval from the organizing committee.
9. Disqualification & Penalty
-
Grounds for disqualification include but are not limited to:
-
Cheating or tampering with other teams’ rafts
-
Failure to wear a life jacket
-
Abusive behavior
-
Ignoring safety instructions
-

Minor infractions may result in time penalties at the discretion of the Race Committee.
10. Protests & Appeals
-
Any protest must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes after finishing the race.
-
Decisions made by the Race Committee are final.
11. Organizer’s Rights
-
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend, update, or add to these rules at any time.
-
All updates will be posted on the official website and briefed during the Race Day Briefing.
